Mao Zedong : Founded the People's Republic of China

In today's world, China's position in military, economic and technological aspects is very consolidated. Behind this strong position of China is the visionary and efficient leadership of the Communist Party. When the Chinese Communist Party is mentioned, the first person to mention is Mao Tse-tung. On October 1, 1949, he declared communist rule in China by establishing the People's Republic of China in Beijing's Tiananmen Square after winning a lo
At the time of Mao Tse-tung's birth in 1893, China was under the miserable rule of the Qing dynasty. Although Mao was born into a noble and wealthy peasant family, China's economic situation was very poor at the time. At the age of eight, Mao was enrolled in a village school, where after completing primary education, Mao went to Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, to begin his secondary education. When the anti-Qing dynasty movement started in China, Mao joined the movement for a while. After graduating in 1918, he moved to Beijing and began working as an assistant to Beijing University librarian Li Dazhao.

Li was one of the early Chinese Communists. Mao Zedong was influenced by Lee's revolutionary thinking. Once upon a time, Mao got hold of books on Marxist thought. He later became well known as a Marxist in political circles and played an important role in the formation of the Chinese Communist Party in 1921.
In 1927, when the chairman of the Kuomintang party and President of China, Chiang Kai-shek, became violent towards the Communist Party, Mao Zedong formed a revolutionary army of peasants, which became known as the 'Red Army'. By strengthening these forces, Mao established the Soviet Republic of China in 1930 in the southwestern Jiangxi region under his control.

In 1934, several areas of Jiangxi Province came under Mao. Chiang Kai-shek sent about 1 million troops to suppress the Red Army and they surrounded the Red Army in the mountainous areas of Jiangxi Province. Then the Red Army managed to escape from there.

When Japan invaded China in 1937, Chiang Kai-shek lost control of several territories, including Beijing, to Japan. He then made an alliance with the Communists and the Communist and Kuomintang forces fought together against Japan. After Japan's defeat in World War II in 1945, China regained the territories occupied by Japan.

Then the bloody civil war started again in China. Through his strategic leadership, Mao Tse-tung defeated the Kuomintang forces and by 1949 was able to occupy all of China.

Mao Zedong led the Communist Party for life. However, although he was successful as a revolutionary, he had many failures as a statesman. Although his ideals are complex and controversial, his ideals are still accepted in China and he is called the shaper of modern China.
